OpenAI's Astra: Ten Claimed Math Breakthroughs, One Unreleased Model
OpenAI has named its next major model, and says an internal version of it produced ten advances in mathematics, from an explicit non-sofic group to the first general sphere-packing exponent improvement since 1978. The manuscripts are real and public. The independent verification hasn't happened yet.
